How to make the corners of an interior house molding?
(by Jean-Sebastien Perron)

When do you need this technique?
-For every molding corners
The most important thing to know in strata
-"Group" an object to itself to realign the transformation guides to the world
Frame around the window
-Create a "closed line object" in the front view

-Create 3 copies of the template
-Place them like the picture below

-"Skin" the 3 templates together
-Set the complexity to 0
-Activate the "Linear Segments"

-You should get the following result (not good at all)

-In edit mode of the skin object scale the middle "rib" like the red arrows
-You can also adjust by moving a little the other "rib" as indicated with the blue arrows

-Now you have a perfect 45 degree corner

-You can move the first and the last "rib" away to the desired lenght

-If you need to add more corners to that "skin" object
-"Unskin" it, select the "45 degree rib" and copy, move and rotate it to the next corner
-"Skin" again

O'Gee between the wall and the cealing
-Draw the "Closed line object"

-Rotate it like the picture below

-There is a problem with Strata : there is no transformation tools.
-What that means is that you can only move an object by the handle on the object
-But in this case it will cause us a problem to move, rotate and rescale the templates
-There is a bypass and it is deceptively simple
-Simply "Group" the object to itself, place it the way you like and "Ungroup" it later
-So now select the template alone and groupe it to itself
-You can see that the transformations handles are now placed in a better orientation

-Create some guides with cubes
-Create 3 copies of the template and place them like the picture below
-Rescale the "45 degree rib" to reach the corners as shown with the red arrows

-It should now look like below

-Delete the guides
-"Ungroup" the 3 templates

-"Skin" them
-At any times if the "ribs" are not placed correctly, "Unskin" them
-"Group" the misplaced template to itself, adjust it and start again.
